Hi, I saw the link to your post for advice on your gf's tumblr. The first thing I thought of was something that I sent to my parents a long time ago. It's called A Letter to Louise, and it is a deconstruction of the typical religious arguments about homosexuality by a straight pastor. Give me advice! (or links to advice!)
So as you guys know I have a ~~girlfriend~~ and I’m a ~~girl~~ or whatever. As you also might know, I’ve made some posts expressing my concern over the way my parents have refused to talk to me about the situation since they found out about it. It has been months. Today my dad aknolwedged the situation and talked to me about his disaproval of it. He is very Catholic and thinks that what I’m doing is wrong. He told me so. He didn’t say this angrily, he just expressed his views to me.
I respect my dad’s faith and I would like to know if anyone knows any convincing arguments for a homosexual relationship being okay within the context of not being super offensive to the Catholic faith. I will probably NEVER have the heart to tell my dad I don’t really believe in god probably.
